THE SACRED LINK ™
Yoga Dance Healing
Sunday, July 22, 2007
10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. |
The SACRED LINK connects the ancient practices of yoga, dance and healing. We
awaken and breathe deeply into a vivid and focused connection to the body, mind and
spirit. Within The Sacred Link we are individuals holding space on our yoga mat, our
prayer mat. Together we step onto the sacredness of the dance floor our movements
invite us to trust ourselves in the journey through time and space. The healing sounds of
our voices create a profound community for the healing circle. Each of these ancient
practices, are already rooted in our DNA. Sometimes we just need to remember the
power within.
Flow Yoga, Movement, Sound Healing, The Roth 5 Rhythms ,
and Healing Circle. This gathering is open to all people who are
ready to journey into this sacred link that offers bliss and healing
for all Beings. Please bring a yoga mat, a journal, water (soft soled
shoes if you like, other wise dance barefoot) and of course your
curiosity.

STAR DANCE RISING
Improvising and Shape-Shifting with Spirit
First Monday of the month (October through June)
8:00-9:30 p.m.
LIVE MUSIC!
No Dance on Mon. May 5th. (Dance Complex Closed)
Next Dance on Mon. June 2nd.
Where the dance
floor becomes the universe!
"There is more to see here then what meets the eye! There is more to see here, I am willing to try. I call to mother and father sky to paint us with vision and to see through their eyes.
I seek protection, I am filled with love I ask for guidance I am shown the flight of doves.
My body is dancing as I move with the stars, my body keeps dancing as I step on Jupiter and Mars
There is more to see here then what meets the eye. There is more to see here, I am willing to try." (MMD)
We are made of pure vibration, there is no doubt about it. We are fully able to rise up into the star dust and gold we are made of and shape shift into whole health, balance and bliss. As we let go of what appears to be the truth and dance into pathways much more sacred and profound we spontaneously rise up to higher levels of conscious creativity. We deepen and trust our intuitive connection to all life. Clearer focus and compassion is offered up to us as we find out what truly matters to us as we continue to be the keepers of the earth.

Ants in The
Pants Dance for KIDS presents
A Teacher's Path
Magical Movement for Children
A Two Day Workshop (One Level)
Saturday & Sunday
April 14th & 15th, 2007
A gathering/training of like minded persons who would
like to enrich their own lives while they are creating space for the flourishing
of our next generations.
While you are learning more about teaching children you will also have
the opportunity to learn more about your own expressive, creative and
fun side. When we feel confident and alive with our own free- spirited
self it is easy to create the space for all types of children to find
their own empowered, confident expressive self. My aim is to support and
inspire you to become the best teacher you can be. And as a teacher of
children you not only teach the creative/performing arts you also wear
many hats including teacher, student, mommy, daddy, mediator, band-aid
giver, hugger, leader, listener, provider of inspiration, tear wiper,
psychologist, boundary keeper, manners reminder, artist, choreographer,
singer, actor, visionary, etc, etc., and you may wear most of these hats
within one class. Phew! We really do all have the capacity to wear all
of these hats - it just takes practice and practice and then some more
practice. In this especially designed course you will have many possibilities
to practice.
Our world is getting faster and faster and more and more mechanical with
a lot of sitting and sitting and eyes glazing over as our children gaze
at the windows of computers, videos/games, TVs, etc.... It is important
to continue to provide environments where kids can explore the magic of
movement, dance, song, physical- expression, etc.
This course also gives you the opportunity to become one of the keepers
(or enliven who you are as a keeper already) of the magic, sparkle and
grace that a teacher of children automatically receives...When you work
with children you shine! And as you shine you will continue to inspire
children and yourself to keep dancing into the shining light that they/you
already are!
f you are interested or know
someone who is ready for this adventure please contact me at (857) 544-3583

Sweat Your Prayers (On Hiatus... Stay Tuned)
Ecstatic Dance Jam
LIVE MUSIC!
Where the dance floor
is your sacred ground!
There is a divine prayer in each step that
we take. We are sounding boards, tuning forks that invigorate the universe to

the dance, and your dance, and your commitment to show up and move! Who is to
say when it will happen, that moment when we take a stand and let go of what we
think we know, and move into the possibility of taking a chance that movement
will move us... that our prayers will be answered even when our faith has gone
on holiday without even a note of departure.

BEING
SEEN BEING HEARD
playful
& profound possibilities of performance
Being Seen Being Heard is an intergenerational,
multicultural and mixed abilities performance ensemble. The cast members range
from ages 5 to 85. In all life there are continuous rites of passages. Let us
be part of the honoring of these rites with a concert filled with dance, improvisation,
song, and theater that builds bridges to connection, communication and fun.
Be
prepared to smile!
For many years Margaux observed how the creative
arts built community, communication, artistic collaboration, trust, and deep
fun when various generations of new and seasoned performers were brought together
by dance, singing, theater and improvisation. No matter what one's age, we all
need to be Seen and Heard. And Margaux believes that there is performer in each
and every one of us. And, if we look closely, most adults have rich, child-like
spirits, and children have a lot of wisdom that goes way beyond there young
years. Put these ingredients together and magic happens.

Dance Your
Sacred Journey
Dance the Spirit, Shape Shift the Dream
Music and ecstatic dance guide us to the sacred
space of feeling alive in our bodies. The ancient rhythms of our hearts and
breath pulsate to the beat of the drums as we unwind into the power of the
dance. In this workshop we focus on the Roth 5 Rhythms™ of movement, flowing,
staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness. The only way to dance the Roth 5 Rhythms
is your way. This is possible because each rhythm is a state of being that
invites you to move until you are moved. And as we dance in each moment of
movement, our energy and states of consciousness rise to higher levels of
release, balance, possibility and divine waves of celebration. This class invites all seekers, teens and adults from all
walks of life who wish to explore and experience free-spirited connections to
the body, mind and soul.

Waves: The Roth 5 Rhythms Practice
(A Weekly Class)
About Waves:
Ecstatic Dance for Body & Soul In WAVES we explore the dynamic practice
of the 5Rhythms. This cathartic form of ecstatic dance is a workout for
body and soul - a moving meditation - a spiritual practice where we "sweat our
prayers." Gabrielle Roth has developed the 5Rhythms dance practice over a lifetime
of study in dance, theater and the healing arts. Entering into the rhythms
of (Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, Stillness) is to embark on a pilgrimage
of self-revelation rooted in action and movement. When we free the body,
the heart begins to open. When the body and heart taste freedom, the mind
won't be far behind. And when you put the psyche into motion, it will
start to heal itself. This practice is for elders and young people, passionate
dancers and reserved toe-tappers, people who like to show off and those who
can barely show up, survivors of bad backs, bum knees or broken hearts.
The only goals are moving until we are moved, finding the still point within
and becoming free spirits once again.
About the Teachers:
Gabriella Salvatore and Margaux Skalecki are were both trained and certified
by Gabrielle Roth. They both have been teaching since 1997.

Dancing with Spirit
Where Root and Wing Meet the Ecstatic
Heart
Sacred creative space unfolds as we
celebrate and honor the profound mystery of life and death and those who have
come before us, ourselves, and those who will come after us. This class is open
to all people of all ages. Live music, the Roth 5 Rhythms TM, deep listening,
improvisation, ritual theater and other treats will evoke the creativeness of
each moment.
“As a spirit dancer I have a vision where
past and future step forward when we have an ongoing trust of the present
moment. Each step is a new moment where we can dance into the possibility of
communication with our ancestors and receive answers to asked or unasked
questions. Trusting ourselves to dance with spirit into the invisible spaces and
acknowledge these unknown spaces as guides and angels, we make the choice to
just be curious and rooted. As we follow our dancing feet in the moment, we
journey into our own energetic states of grace. In this sacred space we feel our
connectedness and oneness with all, and the purity of our ecstatic heart invites
us to feel the lightness and lengthening of our own wings which have always been
with us.” Location: The Dance Complex 536 Massachusetts Avenue
